Power Over Wireless

Splashpower Pads

You can power up any Splashpower-enabled device (e.g. phone, PDA, MP3 player, camera etc), simply by dropping it on a mouse-mat-sized pad, called a SplashPad.

No physical connection is required between the SplashPad and the device - power is transferred wirelessly between the pad and the receiver module in the device. And of course, different devices can be charged on a single SplashPad at the same time.

Splashpower PadsAdd to this the kind of styling which would complement even the most sophisticated of home or office interiors, and you'll never want to use tangled traditional chargers again.

All devices fitted with a SplashModule power receiver are ready to receive wireless power from the SplashPad. This thin receiver module is customized to the shape, size and power requirements of the device and can be easily integrated into the host device or add-on accessories.

As well as providing a convenient universal charging pad for future devices, Splashpower wireless power also provides clear benefits to the mobile products themselves. It allows manufacturers to design products without the clumsy charging connector, which is a source of cost, lets water into the device and invariably gets filled with all the fluff from your pocket. With Splashpower, designers of the next generation of mobile products can explore more adventurous form-factors, develop more robust devices and sell their creations without a bulky wall charger.

A world of cool productsThe Splashpower solution is based around technology that uses inductive coupling as a means of power transfer - which means you don't need any wires, connectors or contacts between the pad and the device.

Electromagnetic induction is a technology that is currently employed in a wide range of applications. Applications which currently use induction for power transfer include powering electric vehicles, recharging electric toothbrushes and powering smart-tags and security tags.

The Splashpower solution overcomes previously unresolved issues in the development of inductive technology to allow you to power or charge a selection of gadgets all at the same time. Just place any device that incorporates a SplashModule power receiver on the SplashPad and power up.

Splashpower's multiple-patented technology has received rave reviews in the international media including CNN prime time news, the Financial Times, BBC, Nikkei Shimbun and Frost & Sullivan.
